Surprise! Split Fiction – the wonderfully creative co-op caper from It Takes Two developer Hazelight – will be a Switch 2 launch title.

The news of the game’s Nintendo debut was shared during this afternoon’s dedicated Switch 2 Direct, along with a number of other launch titles.

Studio head Josef Fares shared the news along with a trailer.

Split Fiction is already available across PC, Xbox and PlayStation. As with those versions, the Switch 2 edition of the game will support crossplay via the Friend’s Pass function.

Nintendo gamers are really in for a treat, I have to say. Split Fiction is so, so good! And, I am far from the only one to think so. “Fantastic from start to finish, Split Fiction is one of the most inventive and joyful co-op games to date, and a testament to the power of human imagination,” Katharine Castle wrote in Eurogamer’s five star Split Fiction review.

Split Fiction will release on Switch 2 on the console’s release.

Other games also announced for the upcoming console include Elden Ring and Mario Kart World. Along with games, we also got a closer look at the Switch 2 hardware itself.
