It’s Gamescom Opening Night Live time, which means Geoff Keighley’s back with a probably slightly too long broadcast, containing, we hope, some exciting game announcements. I’ll be joined in the commentary box by Tom Orry and we’ll be watching the broadcast and bringing you a blow-by-blow account of it, right here. We also have a number of our team there at the show, so maybe they’ll cause some mischief in the auditorium as we watch.

The important stuff: the Opening Night Live pre-show begins at 6.30pm UK time, and the main show at 7pm (8pm CEST / 2pm EDT / 11 am PDT). You don’t need to do anything but keep this page open and watch and comment, and the coverage will roll in.

So what do we hope to see? We can expect a better look at the next Resi game, Resident Evil: Requiem, as well as some Silent Hill f, the new World of Warcraft expansion Midnight, and Ghost of Yotei, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and The Outer Worlds 2. Oh and some Hollow Knight: Silksong, if you can believe it, although a bigger announcement was announced – that’s confusing – for this Thursday. Still: Silksong! What’s next – a Bloodborne remake? Half-Life 3?

Not long to go now so let’s buckle up and get prepared. Snacks ahoy, let’s do this.
