Gamurs Group, the media company behind websites like Dot Esports, Twinfinite, Prima Games, Siliconera and The Escapist, reportedly made more layoffs at the end of last week.

As shared on LinkedIn, staff affected by job cuts over the past few days include Evergreen Updates Editor Chris Jecks, SEO Manager Jonna Turner, Lead Data Analyst Thomas Tallentire, Content Strategist Anne Banks and Assigning Editor Christian Smith.

GamesIndustry.biz has reached out to Gamurs Group for comment on the number of staff affected in this latest round.

A number of staff at Gamurs-owned outlets have shared layoff news since 2025 started. Back in March, editors at Gamurs-owned The Mary Sue and The Escapist reported being let go. In February, editors at Destructoid shared they’d been laid off on social media.

In addition, as shared on BlueSky, the long-running PC enthusiast website PC Invasion is no longer accessible, and now redirects into the Prima Games website. Content from PC Invasion has been ported to Prima Games, according to writers on social media.

PC Invasion is still listed as one of Gamurs’ brands on its corporate website.

Two rounds of layoffs at the company made headlines in July and September of 2024.
