Krafton has confirmed that Callisto Protocol developer Striking Distance Studios has undergone another round of layoffs.

In a statement issued to PC Gamer, Krafton said an unspecified number of employees had been made redundant “to remain agile” and that the studio would “remain operational.”

“Striking Distance Studios has reduced the size of its team to remain agile, which creates a sustainable environment for the studio at its current stage of development,” it said.

“The studio remains operational, and these changes will not impact any planned ongoing support. No further changes are planned at this time.”

Reports of redundancies were circulating last week, with former concept artist Jesse Lee noting that “most of the devs were laid off” in a LinkedIn post. Former animation director Zach Volker said there were “lots of layoffs” in a separate post.

In August 2023, Striking Distance Studios laid off 32 employees following the release of DLC for The Callisto Protocol.
